If you have never been to Drummond Island, what you can expect is a rustic, outdoorsman paradise. The island has many protected plant life, as well as beautiful scenery. The trails are challenging, and hopefully won’t leave their impression on your HUMMER, but if they do, it will give you something to talk about!

We will have 2 days full of what I like to call ”getting to know your HUMMER” time. We will have two groups for trail rides. We will be mixing it up with the terrain depending on the desires of the participants. To follow suit with tradition, I have offered up our services to the DNR to assist with any trail cleanup we can, I will have more details on this at the event.

The HUMMER Club Inc. invites participating club members to test your skills and your Hummer at AM Generals off-road course near their HMMWV and H2 assembly plants. If you have ever wondered what a Hummer Club event was like, this is one event you WON’T want to miss. The trails at AM General are led by the same instructors who run the HUMMER Driving Academy. Then, after you have conquered the trails and obstacles there, we will caravan into Michigan to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Mears MI. There we will drive over the dunes, swim in Lake Michigan and enjoy the beauty of one of the largest fresh water lakes in the world.

This is the second stand-alone HUMMER Club event at the AM General Proving Grounds. At the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, you will be responsible for your own entry into the park. Requirements are: a State of Michigan ORV permit ($16.25 – in state resident), a State park sticker (instate $6 / day or $24 / annual) and a flag which can reach 10 feet in the air mounted to the FRONT of your HUMMER ($25 + $10 bracket) all of which can be purchased at or local to the Dunes. Information on the locations will be identified in the registration package you will receive.

If you have never been to the Badlands ORV Park, what you can expect is an off-road enthusiast’s paradise. The park has tight trails, sand, mud, rocks, “pea gravel” hills to try and climb and many other obstacles to challenge your skills and your HUMMER. The Badlands ORV park is the most requested destination for the HUMMER club outside of the standard annual events. Perhaps, with your support, this will be an annual event!

This year, we will have 2 days full of what I like to call ”getting to know your HUMMER” time. We will have two groups for trail rides. One group will be for those who need a little more of a refresher course prior to the extreme challenges, and then the group for those who just want to get into the more challenging stuff right away.
