WINDROCK SUMMER 2025
Dates: July 16th-20th, 2025
Location: Windrock Park, Oliver Springs, TN
Join us for an unforgettable off-road adventure at Windrock Park, the largest privately owned off-road recreation area in the United States. Covering 73,000 acres of rugged terrain in the Tennessee Mountains and featuring over 300 miles of trails, Windrock offers everything from wide gravel roads to technical rock crawling challenges. The park’s diverse terrain includes dense forests, steep mountain climbs, rocky ridgelines, and muddy hollows. Around every corner, you’ll find incredible mountain views and natural beauty that make every trail ride a scenic experience.
This event is all about the trails, off-roading, and camaraderie. Whether you’re looking to push your Hummer to the limit on challenging obstacles or enjoy a more relaxed ride through the beautiful landscape, there’s something here for everyone.
Optional Trail Prerun July 17th:
For members who want an extra day of off-road driving, there will be a trail prerun on Thursday, July 17th. This prerun is a chance for a smaller group to scout trail conditions, get a feel for the terrain, and assist with route planning for the main event. If you’re interested in joining the prerun, it’s recommended that you arrive the day before, on Wednesday, July 16th, to be ready for an early start. Participants usually gather for a drivers meeting around 8:00 AM in the hotel parking lot, although the exact timing is often flexible and left to the discretion of those attending. Since not all members arrive early, prerun groups tend to be smaller and more casual. If you plan to participate, please contact the event coordinator ahead of time or let another club member attending the event know so the group can coordinate with you.
Event Hotel:
DoubleTree by Hilton – Oak Ridge
Address: 215 S. Illinois Ave., Oak Ridge, TN
Discounted Room Rate For Club Members: $134 per night (1 King or 2 Queen beds)
Cut Off Deadline For Room Reservations: June 26, 2025
Note: Please book your room as soon as possible to ensure availability.
Trail Access:
Windrock Park requires a Land Use Permit to access the trails. We strongly recommend purchasing your permit online before the event to avoid delays at the General Store in the mornings. Learn More If you select Learn More and go to the Park’s website you can register prior to the event. We recommend registering prior to the event because the General Store can get very busy most mornings and just delay our heading to the trails.
Guests can still call the hotel directly at 865-481-2468 and refer to the group name.

Club members are always allowed to bring guests that are not club members as passengers in their Hummer. For this event, club members will also be allowed to sponsor one guest that is not a club member that can drive a Hummer or non-Hummer 4x4 vehicle. This driver and vehicle must remain in the same group as the sponsoring club member who will be responsible for their conduct. This guest and vehicle must follow the same rules as club members. Fee's for the sponsored guest and vehicle are the same as club members and can be paid at registration on Thursday evening at the hotel. Please note, that members can sponsor only one extra driver and vehicle.
Important Notes:
- Drivers meeting each morning in the rear parking lot of the hotel.
- All trucks should be fueled and prepared to leave for the trails without having to make any extra stops.
- Be sure to pack lunch and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Some extra snacks and a lawn chair for sitting when we lunch on the trail would be a plus.
- A CB for communication is required – and makes the event more fun and easier. Inform your trail leader if you do not have CB communication.
- Be certain that your truck is well maintained and that it is in good operational condition. Bring likely spare parts and tools if you have them.
- Be prepared for long trail days (food, water, fuel, clothing), you never know what might happen.
