Update - June 17, 2024:
Partnership With Wounded Warrior Project Canceled For Windrock 2024 Event
Due to an unforeseen circumstance, the Wounded Warrior Project, adhering to their policy, must cancel their participation in the upcoming July Windrock event. Unfortunately, there was an issue with securing sufficient hotel rooms for our wounded warriors through the foundation, which made it impossible for us to ensure that we could accommodate them during the event. However, we would like to clarify that the Windrock event itself is NOT canceled. It will proceed as scheduled, but it will now be a standard Hummer Club event without the participation of the WWP.
The Hummer Club plans on working closely with the Wounded Warrior Project to plan another future event to help continue their mission and will work diligently to ensure any specific details are ironed out, preventing any logistical issues. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time and extend our sincerest apologies for any disappointment caused.
If you would like to withdraw from attending the Windrock event because your primary reason for participating was to support the Wounded Warrior Project, we completely understand. You can contact the Hummer Club, and we will be happy to issue you a 100% refund. For a refund please email: DaveYeck@thehummerclubinc.com
All that being said, this Windrock July event is still going to be a fantastic time! The attendance turnout is looking good thus far, and it is shaping up to be a great event!

Colorado Mountain Adventure 2024
The event will be held on Friday July 12h through Sunday July 14th 2023.
Event coordinator: Dave Breggin, BlueHummer@earthlink.net
We will spend a good bit of time above 10,000 feet! This is a great way to beat the summer heat. We will be running trails on National Forest & BLM land to the west of Denver. Exact trails will be determined at the event so we can accommodate everyone. We have a huge network of trails to choose from with all levels of difficulty. Trails are usually hard dirt with imbedded rock, some loose rock, not much mud but a little rain can change everything. Most trails are forested, so mild pin-striping is always possible.
Some Notable Information:
1. Driver’s meeting each morning at the departure point (TBA). Be fueled up and have a lunch packed each trail day. Bring extra water and snacks. Be prepared for long trail days.
2. Trail communication: Instead of CB Radios, we will be using FRS radios for this event. These radios are inexpensive, have similar range and better clarity than CB, and no license is required. (They are compatible with GMRS radios, for those that have them.) If you do not have an FRS radio, we will loan you one for the event.
3. Be certain that your truck is well maintained and that it is in good operational condition.
Due to low registration, this event will be classified as a "local" event and will be supported by Mod Mafia.

The Hummer club is trying a new off-road park for the 2024 season! Leatherwood offroad park in South Eastern Kentucky is a new offroad park that recently opened to the public in 2023. The new park largely sits on the historic Leatherwood coal seam that use to be mined by the Blue Diamond Coal Company. The company moved out of this section around 30 years ago, leaving the coal camp abandoned. Under new ownership, the recently opened offroad park has turned this land into a 4x4 enthusiast’s dream park! It is now Kentucky's largest offroad park featuring 50,000 acres and over 250 miles of trails with plans to develop more in the future. The Park offers something for everyone from beginner to expert level riders with trails ranging from easy to extreme difficulty. The trails vary in length and terrain from rocky and steep inclines too muddy and challenging obstacles. The scenery includes rolling hills, plenty of trees, and a waterfall or two.
All registrants will receive an event shirt, including children. Club members are always allowed to bring guests that are not club members as passengers in their Hummer. For this event, club members will also be allowed to sponsor one guest that is not a club member. They will be permitted to drive their own Hummer or other 4x4 off road vehicle with the club on the trails.
This driver and vehicle must remain in the same trail group as the sponsoring club member who will be responsible for their conduct. This guest(s) and vehicle must follow the same rules as club members. Registration fees for the sponsored guest(s) and vehicle are the same as club members and can be paid on line by the sponsoring member or Wednesday evening at the hotel. The Hummer Club, members and guests are planning for 2 days of fun on the trails at Uwharrie National Forest (located near Troy, NC) on December 9th and 10th. This event is open to Club members AND non-club members that are sponsored by a Club member. So, bring your Hummer (you can even bring a Jeep or other 4x4 vehicle). We are a family-oriented club so the young ones who can get a couple of days out of school are welcome.
If you are a non-club member attending the event you can pay the event fee of $35.00 at the event. Just make sure you email George Yankay with your information and the shirt sizes that you might need. Plan on arriving at the hotel on the afternoon or evening of the 8th.
The hotel information is: Days Inn; (910) 428-2525; 531 East Main Street, Biscoe, NC 27209. We will leave the hotel each morning and head to the Eldorado Outpost around 08:30 to purchase trail passes ($5.00 each day) and to discuss trail selections and have our pre-run Safety meeting.
What to bring? CB radio, lunch, lawn chairs, money, drinks, spare parts for your truck and/or whatever else you feel necessary to survive on the trails.
Night life after the trails may include going out to eat as a group or in smaller groups. Just make sure you are back in time for the traditional story telling. You won’t believe half of what you hear and are probably right. We will have available event shirts so make sure you get yours. In order to make sure you get a shirt please go on-line to the Club website and register not later than November 26th. We would also advise making hotel reservations as soon as possible. If you have any questions, you can email the event coordinator George Yankay. Ensure that your truck is mechanically sound, top off or change all of the fluids and a full tank of gas.

Durango 2022
Trail days: September 15th through the 17th.
Event coordinator: Dave Breggin, BlueHummer@earthlink.net
Back by popular demand! This year the Durango event will again be held just before the Moab event.
In Durango we will be running Northern New Mexico trails like Grim Reaper and Secret! If you haven’t run either of these trails, you have missed out on some of the best Hummer wheeling there is. Your truck will do things you didn’t know it could! If you have been on these trails, then you probably can’t wait to get to back to them and have another go!
Self-guided trips are also available to some breathtaking high-alpine passes, ghost towns and historic trails near Ouray & Telluride, Colorado.
Some Notable Information:
? Driver’s meeting each morning at the departure point (TBA). Be fueled up and have a lunch packed each trail day. Bring extra water and snacks. Be prepared for long trail days.
? Trail communication: Instead of CB Radios, we will be using FRS radios for this event. These radios are inexpensive, have similar range and better clarity than CB, and no license is required. (They are compatible with GMRS radios, for those that have them.) If you do not have an FRS radio, we will loan you one for the event.
? Be certain that your truck is well maintained and that it is in good operational condition.

Colorado Mountains 2022
Come join us for another great 3-day event in the Colorado Mountains. It will be held on Friday July 15th through Sunday July 17th 2021.
Event coordinator: Dave Breggin, BlueHummer@earthlink.net
We will spend a good bit of time above 10,000 feet! A great way to beat the summer heat.
? Driver’s meeting each morning at the departure point (TBA). Be fueled up and have a lunch packed each trail day. Bring extra water and snacks. Be prepared for long trail days.

Due to low registration, this event will be classified as a "local" event and will be driver-supported. We look forward to seeing the Mod Mafia crew at the other major Club events and thank them for their continued support .
