 Join The Hummer Club, Inc for two day off-road event at two of Pennsylvania's premier parks.

Rausch Creek Off Road Park and Anthracite Offroad Adventure Park (AOAA).  Rausch Creek is within easy driving distance of many cities near the East Coast.  AOAA  is about 20 miles from Rausch Creek off of I-81.  We are having a trail guide that knows these trails well and will lead us to maximize our fun time on the trails.

The hotel has ample parking for us, including trailers. We have a group of rooms blocked off at a special rate of $79.20 plus tax for The Hummer Club, Inc. - so make sure you mention the club when you make your reservations.Mechanical Support: Mechanical support will be provided by club members.

Event Calendar:
Thursday August 22, 2019:  Participants arrive at the Country Inn & Suites, register with the Hummer Club staff and check into the hotel.  Registration will begin at 6 PM.  During this time, pizza and sodas will be available.  Event shirts will be distributed during club registration.

Friday August 23:  Meet at the hotel parking lot @ 8:00 a.m. and convoy to Rausch Creek Off Road Park for a day of trails.  It will take about 30 minutes to arrive at the trail head.  We will register at the park and have a drivers meeting after registration.

 http://rc4x4.org/park-information/membership/; download the membership application and bring to the event.  We should be on the trails until around 3:00 p.m..  Bring your lunch and plenty of snacks and water. Alcohol is prohibited in the off road park.  Dinner is not included but for those that want to join us, we will convoy to a nearby restaurant for dinner around 6 PM.

Saturday, August 24: Meet at the hotel parking lot @ 8:00 a.m. and have a quick drivers meeting, then convoy to Anthracite Offroad Adventure Park for a day of trails. It will take about 45 minutes to arrive at the trail head.  We should be on the trails until around 3:00 p.m.  Bring your lunch and plenty of snacks and water.  Alcohol is prohibited in the off road park.  Dinner is not included but for those that want to join us, we will convoy to a nearby restaurant for dinner around 6 PM.

Sunday, August 25.   Depart and head home


Event Fees:
$100 per truck & driver, $40 per passenger over age 16, passengers $15 per passenger 15 and under.  Event fees cover park fees, pizza and Tshirts but not the $20 Rausch Creek membership fee.

Park Fees:
Rausch Creek Off Road Park is a membership-based facility. Drivers and passengers age 16 and up are required to become members of the park which costs $20 per year and is good for one year from the date you join. Membership cards are given out when you join.  The event fee covers the daily trail fee at both parks but you will need to individually pay for the Rausch Creek membership.  Rausch Creek trail fee is $50.00 per day for Truck & driver and $10.00 per day for passenger over age 15.  The AOAA trail fee is $30.00 per day for Truck & driver and $15.00 per day for passenger.

Durango 2019 – Destination Discovery - Mild to Wild! This year we return with a “pre-event” in Durango Colorado prior to the event in Moab Utah. We wanted to focus on a fun filled, Hummer powered, and low-cost off-road event so are cutting back a bit on costs outside of what you keep telling us you want: fun wheeling! There will be THREE DAYS of Durango area awesomeness followed by FIVE DAYS of Moab awesomeness. Come to one, come to both!

The pre-event starts out in Durango Colorado where we will spend three days running Northern New Mexico trails like Grim Reaper and Secret! If you haven’t run either of these trails,  you have missed out on some of the best Hummer wheeling there is. Your truck will do things you didn’t know it could! If you have been on these trails, then you probably can’t wait to get to back to them and have another go! We will also offer self-guided trails to breathtaking high-alpine passes, ghost towns and historic trails near Ouray & Telluride, Colorado.  Separate registration is required for the Moab event.

There will then be a one-day transition to allow time to drive from Durango to Moab. If you haven’t seen Mesa Verde National Park – it’s on the way and well worth a visit!

In Moab we start with an event dinner and trail sign up (each group is responsible for their dinner bill).  This will be Sunday September 15rd.  There will be no specific event hotel this year as there are several places to choose from – everything from camping sites to hotel suites with hot-tubs – whatever fits your budget!

Cancellations & Refunds:

We realize that unexpected events such as work conflicts, mechanical problems and illnesses may cause you to cancel your trip. However, we have many business partners that we pay deposits based on a preliminary participant count, therefore in order to limit the impact of cancellations the following penalties apply to your refund should you choose to cancel:

Days Prior to Trip Date: Penalty
  • Reservation to 21 days: $35 or *
  • 20 days to 8 day: 50%
  • 7 days to 1 day: 80%
  • Trip date and beyond: NO REFUND

* Should you choose to transfer from one trip to another trip in the SAME calendar year you may do so for $35 per transfer.

 WINDROCK 2019 !!!!


 
The Club returns to one of our favorite venues with 300+ miles of off road trails on 72,000 acres in the beautiful Tennessee Mountains.  The park has plenty of different trails for all types of vehicles and adrenaline levels, plus beautiful mountain scenery around every corner. Learn More

This event is all about the trails, off-roading, and Camaraderie.  We will be kicking up mud and crawling over rocks.

The event hotel will be the Quality Inn in Oakridge located at 216 S. Rutgers Ave.  We have a block of rooms reserved at The Hummer Club rate of King at $89 and Double room at $99.  You need to make your reservation as soon as you can as the block of rooms at this rate will expire.  If you call the hotel, remember to tell them you are with the Hummer Club.



Schedule of Activities:

Thursday, October 10th:
Arrive at the Quality Inn - Oak Ridge: registration and just getting together.  
 
Friday, October 11th:
8:00 AM – Mandatory drivers meeting in the rear parking lot of the hotel.        

8:30 AM – Head out for the Trailhead and register with Windrock ORV.  

5:00 PM – Return from the Trails.

Saturday, October 12th:
8:30 AM – Mandatory drivers meeting in the rear parking lot of the hotel.        

9:00 AM – Head out for the Trails

4:00 PM – Return from the Trails

6:00 PM - Join fellow club members for dinner at The River Grill.

Sunday, October 13th – checkout and return home



Event Fees:

$65.00 for each person (Age 13 and up) in your group.  Children 12 and under are free (except for park fee) and do not receive an Event T-Shirt.  Extra Event shirts will be available for sale.  Remember the event fee must be paid via the online registration process and will include the dinner on Saturday evening.

Park permit fees must be paid in addition to the event registration fee.  Park permits are required for each person, no matter their age or activity, to be on the trails at Windrock.  Each person entering the area is required to have their permit with them at all times while on the property.  Price of the Park permit fees are as shown in the table below and will be available for purchase at the Park.  See Park website for details at https://windrockpark.com

Club members are always allowed to bring guests that are not club members as passengers in their Hummer. For this event, club members will also be allowed to sponsor one guest that is not a club member that can drive a Hummer or non-Hummer 4x4 vehicle.  This driver and vehicle must remain in the same group as the sponsoring club member who will be responsible for their conduct.  This guest and vehicle must follow the same rules as club members.  Fee's for the sponsored guest and vehicle are the same as club members and can be paid at registration on Thursday evening at the hotel.  Please note, that members can sponsor only one extra driver and vehicle.





Important Notes:

  • Drivers meeting each morning in the rear parking lot of the hotel. 
  • All trucks should be fueled and prepared to leave for the trails without having to make any extra stops.
  • Be sure to pack lunch and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Some extra snacks and a lawn chair for sitting when we lunch on the trail would be a plus.
  • A CB for communication is required – and makes the event more fun and easier.  Inform your trail leader if you do not have CB communication.
  • Be certain that your truck is well maintained and that it is in good operational condition. Bring likely spare parts and tools if you have them.
  • Be prepared for long trail days (food, water, fuel, clothing), you never know what might happen.


Mechanical Support is provided at all major Club events


At Major events, the event coordinator and other club members will support any needed repairs to the best of their ability so everyone can fully participate and get home afterwards. Your truck must be in excellent mechanical condition due to the nature of these events. We suggest you carry basic hand tools and keep spare parts on-hand and/or parts that wear when off-roading (idler, pitman, tie-rods, ball-joints). Contact the event coordinator if you have questions about mechanical support and/or what to bring.
